BRANDED ENTERTAINMENT | FORD: American Idol
For Ford's America Idol integrations, the Idols were paired up with social creators to make unique content to be featured during the American Idol broadcast. I worked with Ford’s agency, GTB Branded Content Group and Radical Media, to conceive, script and produce a series of creative partnerships between the Idols and some popular artists and creators like Zach King, Shonduras, and Tristan Eaton to produce a series of in-show interstitials.
INTERNAL PROGRAMS | RECOLOGY: Employee Safety Program
In San Francisco, Recology runs 350 trucks everyday - collecting 2,500 tons of trash. The infrastructure to support this enormous task can be a litany of dangerous and life-threatening machinery when not operated properly. For workers, safety procedures are time consuming and a hassle; for the employer, injury is an expensive cost. To make the safety information more engaging I wrote and directed a video series featuring employees delivering peer to peer guidance addressing safety challenges for drivers and facilities workers. A little vanity is ok if it saves a life.
SOCIAL CAMPAIGNS | MYOVANT SCIENCES: Prostate Cancer
1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. That’s a concerning statistic. Myovant Sciences, a pharmaceutical company with a focus on reproductive diseases, came to Kontent with an audacious challenge – create a series of videos that will encourage men to break their silence and resistance to seek support in dealing with their illness. Starting with research, then interviewing men, we developed the series story guide that was our production bible.
CAMPAIGN STORY GUIDES | UCSF: 2022 Medals
The UCSF Chancellor Medal Awards is a prestigious honor to receive. The award ceremony celebrates each recipient with a short film telling their life story, culminating in their achievement being recognized. For the 2022 awardees, the UCSF internal production team brought Kontent in to help shape the films storylines and design. We started by researching and interviewing each of the awardees. From there we created a ‘Series Story Guide’ that included: bios, three act structure and interview guide for on set. All designed to streamline the production and editorial process.
EVENT STORYTELLING | THE WHITE HOUSE: United We Stand
America, land of the free, home of the brave… unless you are one of the many Americans living in fear because of your ethnicity, religious beliefs or sexual identity. On Thursday, September 15, 2022, President Biden hosted the United We Stand Summit at the White House to counter the destructive effects of hate-fueled violence on our democracy and public safety. I was brought in to create a series of videos for the event – a summit opening anthem, narrated by Lisa Ling, and a series of four video vignettes featuring 17 ‘Uniters’ from around the country captured through Zoom interviews.
